There are no new stories under the sun--the essentials have existed since Adam and Eve had their first miscommunication--but there are over a billion different people experiencing those stories and each one of them understands and responds to them in their own peculiar way. It's the individual's reactions and decisions that make the story rather than the details, and I spend inordinate amounts of time pondering those elements. I wouldn't claim to be a world-class writer, but I hold my own in most circumstances. I seek to motivate people to think about themselves, their world and the people with whom they share their existence, be they spouses or doormen, in hopes that in thinking about them people will become more attuned to the intrinsic value of every human being. Unfortunately, I haven't nearly as much time to write as I once had (and after forty hours a week writing for others, it's difficult to stare at a monitor at home) but when something strikes me, it'll end up here.
