Religion and Theology Catholic Exchange is a great source for daily readings, liturgical insights, articles on contemporary subjects and much more.. Theology Online : not for the faint-hearted! A site run by an odd sect of fundamentalism, but all sorts post there. A fair number of atheists also participate. Go toThe Vatican Site for the real scoop on Catholic news, and a comprebensive treatise on Catholic theology, thought and history may be found at New Advent. For those times when you remember the words but can't pinpoint the verse, Bible Gateway offers several versions of Scripture seachable by phrase. It's also useful for comparing translations. I belong--sort of--to the St. Peter's Parish of the Diocese of Charleston. The New Catholic Miscellany is the Diocesan newspaper. St. Peter's just underwent extensive renovations, and I hope to get some photos of the changes up soon. Church Bulletin has the absolute best chat room online. It's well moderated, and free of the trash that reigns in most chat rooms--my children are allowed to chat in there!
Gardening, Poultry and Horses S.C.A.R.E. is our local equine rescue agency. If you live in South Carolina and are interested in providing shelter or supplies for abused/neglected horses, give them a peek. The posters at The Poultry Exchange are founts of information on all matters avian, particularly chickens, geese, ducks and turkeys. If you've thought about raising your own birds for eggs or meat, this is the place to get answers to all your questions.
Sewing, Crochet and Quilting Free quilting patterns and helpful tips are at The World Wide Quilting Page. Likewise for sewing at Sewing.com. I get my machines, needles and other supplies from Joanne's. |
